Painting done by my good friend James Mcilroy.
When I was younger I would always try to articulate a concept that was constantly being mulled over in my head. Basically I realized that whenever I talked to certain people, no matter the time or subject, I came out of the conversation with a new perspective on something that helped to broaden my horizons. As I've met more people I always try to stick close to the ones who bring something new to the table. I think these friends have shaped who I have become unlike any other force. They challenge me, inspire me to pursue interests and creative outlets, and often involve me in their own artistic endeavors. Remember to always reach out to inspiring people you are comfortable around, and you'll watch yourself grow as both an artistic and compassionate being.
And sometimes those people who inspire you are people you'd never think would do so/give them any thought at all.
ReplyDeleteI like this, and I like how people who are younger than me have grown in ways I'd yet to do in MY early twenties. (Going on 27-bring it ON 30.)
Haha, thanks Alicia! I know, half the people that have changed me the most were people I didn't view that way at all when I met them. Treasures come in many forms.
DeleteDon't you just love people that can have that affect on you?! I'm lucky enough to have inspirational close friends in my life! It was very wonderful to meet you! Hopefully, we meet again!
