Ursa Major

This little guy is probably my favorite out of all my tattoos. It's MUCH smaller and has much less detail than the others, but the symbol is powerful and simple. Ursa Major, or the "The Big Dipper" is widely regarded as a symbol of hope and has acted as a guidepost for stargazers for centuries. It is also an integral part of mythology world-wide, with only positive associations. I grew up in the north, working hard and playing hard outside. Now, I will always take a piece of home with me wherever I go!

  2. It's individual and simple, which is what really shines in this tattoo. Thanks for the invitation to check out your blog, it's worlds apart for mine, which is wonderful because it's fresh and very different to what i share. Different hemispheres to start!!! Looking forward to seeing more posts from your homeland.
